Allan D Dutcher, age 68, of Owosso, MI passed away Friday, July 30, 2010 at University Hospitals, Ann Arbor, MI after losing his battle with Wegener's Granulomatosis.

Funeral Services will be held at Pittsburg United Methodist Church, 2960 W. Grand River Road, Owosso on Monday, August 2, 2010 at 11:00 A.M. Pastor Jeremy Benton and Rev. Russell Merrill will officiate. Burial will follow at Pine Tree Cemetery, Corunna, MI. Visitation will be held on Saturday July 31, 2010 from 6-8 PM and Sunday, August 1, 2010 from 2-8 PM at Smith Family Funeral Homes Jennings-Lyons Chapel Owosso, MI.

Allan was born in Owosso, Michigan on April 10, 1942, the son of Donald and Florence (Allan) Dutcher. Allan resided most of his life in Owosso.

Allan married Julia Heilig on September 7, 2002 in Ubly, MI. He was a member of the Pittsburg United Methodist Church, Owosso.

Allan held a deep affection for his family and friends. They were a very important part of his life. He was a Dairy Farmer for many years and enjoyed farming with his family. Allan was active in the community, serving on many Boards and Committees, most recently serving on the Bennington Township Planning Commission. Allan was an Eagle Scout in his youth.

Allan is survived by his wife Julia Heilig, 2 sons; Matthew and Mary Ann Dutcher of Owosso, Kevin and Kerry Dutcher of Owosso; daughter Donna Ash of Owosso; 6 grandchildren; Jason & Luke Dutcher, Hanna & Noah Dutcher, Amber & Autumn Ash; sister Peggy and Richard Hanlon of Owosso; 4 step sons; Jerry, Brian, Jim and Howard Heilig; numerous step grandchildren; first wife Bethany Dutcher of Owosso; 1 niece and 4 nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents.
