Frederick Mark Ellis, age 56, of Owosso, MI died Friday, July 30, 2010 at his home.
Funeral Services will be held at Smith Family Funeral Homes Jennings-Lyons Chapel Owosso, MI on Tuesday, August 3, 2010 at 11:00 A.M. Pastor Steve Lockwood will officiate. Burial will take place at Oak Grove Cemetery in Owosso, MI. Visitation will be held on Monday, August 2, 2010 from 2-4 & 6-8 PM. at the funeral home.
Frederick was born in Rushville, Indiana on October 2, 1953, the son of Marion and Minnie (Dietz) Ellis. He graduated from Owosso High School in 1972, and joined the US Navy, and thereafter he entered the US Naval Reserve. Fred was employed at General Motors and Buick for several years. He had also worked for the Council on Aging in Owosso, and the City of Owosso as a janitor. He enjoyed being with his friends. He was a past member of the Owosso Church of Christ.
He is survived by his father Marion and Rebecca Ellis of Owosso, MI, a sister Martha Ellis of Owosso, MI, and several aunts, uncles, and cousins. He was preceded in death by his mother Minnie in 1999.
